Scholarship Opportunity

The Niagara Frontier Conference (NFC) of the Central Atlantic States Association is a professional organization
whose members are made up of federal, state and local government regulated industries. Our objectives are to foster
uniformity of enforcement of laws affecting foods, drugs, cosmetics and medical devices, encourage and promote
cooperative enforcement programs with federal and local agencies and create improved communication between
consumers, enforcers and industry groups.

This year NFC is offering a scholarship in the amount of $500 to a deserving student meeting the qualifications
stated below. As an organization with members from both Canada and the United States, this offer is made to
individual from both countries.

To be eligible for the NFC-CASA scholarship, the following guidelines shall be met:

1) He/she is a full-time student with a 3.0 or better average.
2) The student has a major in the science field (a broad interpretation will be accepted)
or is a first year college attendee without a declared major.
3) He/she has demonstrated an interest in a specific course of study through projects
and/or research activities.

We ask that each application contain:

-- a paragraph written by the candidate explaining why they should receive the award and outlining the above
qualifications
-- a paragraph detailing candidate’s goals

-- advisor’s name and telephone number
-- relationship (if any) to a current CASA member along with member’s name in NFC

The last item will be used as a tie breaker when making selection.
